This page from the NSPCC provides a great guide for talking to your child about difficult topics.
Creating time & space to talk with children about challenging issues is really important in helping parents understand the views, questions and concerns which children have on key issues in the community. The NSPCC also has a range of broader resources to support parents and carers, and Young Minds has a range of great resources covering things like being a good listener, and talking to young people about mental health.
